Oat Milk White Russian
The day we made this non-dairy White Russian was a great day for the vegan and lactose-intolerant folks in the test kitchen ranks. In fact, for some, it was their first-ever time sipping on the classic, ultra-boozy winter cocktail! But even the milk-drinkers among us enjoyed the adaptation: oat milk maintains the White Russian’s signature creaminess — and the subtle, oaty sweetness meshes beautifully with the Kahlúa’s cocoa-forward coffee flavor.
We love how unbelievably easy it is to make this plant-based White Russian. As long as you have the ingredients on your bar cart, you can spontaneously stir up a few whenever you have people over. It’s perfect for sipping by the fire after a big holiday meal…and a nice prelude to that cozy little snooze on the sofa you’ll take while everyone else plays charades.
