Hazelnut, Avocado & Greens Smoothie
What we like best about this smoothie is that it’s as thick and satisfying as a meal — so we don’t feel hungry an hour after we drink it. It’s chock-full of avocado, kale, and spinach, but all those green, vegetal flavors are balanced out by the banana, cinnamon, and nut milk. It tastes great: earthy, not too sweet, and very wholesome. We feel healthier after drinking it.
If you’re wondering about the moringa, it’s a bright green powder made from moringa tree leaves. It adds a warm, green tea flavor to the drink — and a ton of nutrients, including vitamin C, calcium, protein, and potassium. Think of it as a booster shot of antioxidants!
Ingredients
1 cup Elmhurst Milked Almonds
½ cup frozen banana
½ ripe avocado
2 Tbsp hempseed
1 large handful kale
1 large handful spinach
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp moringa (optional)
Directions
Combine all the ingredients in a blender or in an immersion blender cup, and purée until smooth. Serve immediately.
