5 Reasons to Celebrate World Pistachio Day



February 26 is World Pistachio Day! From their heart-healthy goodness to their unique flavors, there are countless reasons to love pistachios all-year long. Here are a few nutty facts about the beloved nut:  

1. Pistachios are a healthy snack. 
Skip the greasy potato chips and choose pistachios for three times the amount of protein, fiber, and pieces per serving. Compared to 15 potato chips, pistachios have 3 grams of fiber and 6 grams of protein per 49-kernel serving, making them a smarter snack choice. 

2. Pistachios are one of the lowest calorie and lowest fat snack nuts:
