Tomato Tomatillo Salsa

Salsa is a healthy and versitile topping. Use it on everything from tortilla soup to grilled meats and burgers. Add more green jalapeņo if you like it spicier.

    Ingredients:
  • 4 cluster tomatoes, diced
  • 6 tomatillos, husked, washed, stemmed,
    and diced
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 red jalapeņo pepper, seeded and diced
  • 1 green jalapeņo pepper, seeded and diced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup cilantro, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
    Instructions:
  1. Combine all the ingredients in a glass bowl. Mix well, cover, and chill. Serve warm or cold over broiled salmon, tuna, swordfish, chicken breast, or as a topping for Tortilla Soup.
