'I was having a hard time finding a florist for my wedding. They were either too expensive or I did not like their style. It was not until I received a Gelson''s floral arrangement from a friend that''d I considered them as my florist for my wedding. I never thought of having Gelsons do my wedding since I never knew they did flowers, but since I loved the arrangement i got, I thought I''d give it a shot. I met Rolando and Celine and felt so comfortable with them. They asked a lot of questions and made me feel like they understood what I was looking for. They worked with my style but suggested ideas that were more than I could have imagined. My overall experience with Rolando and the Gelsons team was amazing. I would definitely recommend anyone to Rolando and Celine - whether they are having a huge, extravagant wedding or needing a simple arrangement to make someone feel better. I wish I could upload pictures to this website so that you could see what an amazing job they did. If you, your daughter, or your friends are getting married - you should consider Rolando and Celine! They made my wedding an amazing picture perfect day. Thanks!!'

'Consistently and constantly Lana provides the best customer service you could expect at a supermarket. She is always calm and friendly no matter how busy the store is. She often jokes with me about my "kitty" since I tend to buy cat food once a day. Even if other lines are shorter I prefer to stand in her line because of her great customer service.'

'Clerk Jaime D always greets me with a smile, offers to help me find things, etc. He really knows the products in the sections he oversees. Yesterday he "blew me away" when he walked up to me with the latest update of the Gluten Free list and told me he had put one away for me in his locker so that I would get one before they might run out! THAT is Super Star service and, more than that, it is the kind of relationship that keeps me loyal to Gelson's. I can''t imagine shopping anywhere else.'

'On 9/24/12, I made a quick stop at the deli in your Tarzana location. It was only 10:20am in the morning, so it wasn't crowded. Immediately, Song recognized me and knew I was next in line. She even addressed me by name - and I haven''t seen here for 6 months, maybe longer. With the same smile as always on her face, she asked for my order. And, once again, she remembered everything I order for a turkey sandwich - including sides. I have to laugh. Song is consistently service-driven, a team-player and has an incredible memory for the amount traffic the store receives. And, she genuinely cares about her customers while confidently maintaining a respectful, knowledgeable role model behavior of a Gelson's employee. You have a role model on your hands! The Tarzana store can be challenging experience with some customers; Song's adaptable to a variety of people and makes the shopping experience welcoming. Please honor Song as a Service Super Star! She''s an amazing lady!!'

'We can't imagine shopping at Gelson's Dana Point and not seeing the warm smile and friendly greeting of Donell. My husband and I drive twenty miles to shop at Gelson's because we know we can depend on Donell's personal attentiveness. Even with the opening of a new [competing store] in San Clemente, we would continue to shop at Gelson's, as we know we can count on his cheerful and professional demeanor which is so rare in the retail world today. Don't change a thing!'

'Tyrone has got to be the very fastest checker in existence :-) He has customer service on the mind always - and he's so kind, efficient, helpful - everything about him makes him the very best ambassador your company could possibly have. He is incredible. I will wait in line to get Tyrone. This doesn't take away from the other awesome employees, but does demonstrate how great Tyrone is!'

'I needed an orchid to be wrapped for a gift, as I got to the floral department there was no one there to assist me. One of the managers said he would have someone help me. I got greeted by Ana, she listened to everything I told her and gave me suggestions. I told her I had some shopping to do, she said she would have it ready for me by the time I got back. I was very impressed the orchid looked AMAZING, very nice bow in a white box and she even polished the leaves. She went above and beyond my expectations. Just reminded me of why I shop at Gelson's.'

'I would like to share my wonderful experience at the Valley Village Service Deli. I visit the Deli about once a week every week for my lunch hour. I have been a regular customer for about 3 years. Every week I visit the store with hopes I am serviced by the deli clerk Liz. She is always quick to greet me with a genuine smile and greeting. She always knows how I like my sandwich in addition to always suggesting new items, which I have been introduced to. She never misses to offer a sample of the new products. This kind of customer service is what has kept me a loyal customer. Many of my co-workers also visit the deli because I share my experience with them. They are aware of the superior food and service Gelson has. The great customer service has bought my loyalty. Thank you for hiring and training extra ordinary individuals such as Liz. '

'There are so many folks in the Palisades store that are stars, but I definitely want to put in a good word for Jose in the produce section; he is my "guru" on all the produce, directing me to the ripest fruit, offering always to help, and with such a pleasant and kind demeanor. I have learned interesting things that I never knew about selecting produce; he takes time to make me feel very cared for and is a true asset to the store. And Susie in the Bakery is so warm and dear with me; she just lights up my day every time she calls a hello to me!'

'Last week I needed to buy a huge amount of strawberries for our daughter''s school function. A worker in the produce section named Otto saw me placing numerous containers of strawberries in my cart. Without my prompting, he asked if he could help me by bringing me a full palette of the freshest berries in the store, then proceeded to go through them one by one - not carton by carton, but berry by berry - to find the choicest selection. This is an astonishing level of customer service, and Otto should be rewarded for this. It was a single, small act that helped to ensure that I will remain loyal Gelson''s for many years to come. I do not have Otto''s last name and he is not aware that I sending this message, but I''m sure you can locate him with some ease. Thank you.'

'I am writing to give a thank you to two of your employees. Both are checkout cashiers and make my trips to Gelson's like a homecoming party. They seem to remember every odd thing I have to say. Both are very quick, fit, happy and have smiles to die for. Their names are Jana and Sandy and the store is in the Westlake Village area of Thousand Oaks. They have provided exceptional service from sharing cooking tips, selecting wine, locating Disney theme park passes, to running for an overlooked produce item I forgot. I have been shopping at Gelson's for over five years and love your Westlake store. Food and cooking are a big part of my life. '

'I've been shopping at GELSON'S since the Gelson Store opened. I remember the Gelson Brothers. My girls grew up shopping at Gelsons. They too, have many fond memories and remember the Gelson brothers. We continue to shop Gelsons in Sherman Oaks. We came to Sherman Oaks the same year the Gelsons came. That was 1951- We happen to be living in Cedar Rapids at Cedar Rapids, Iowa at the time. So many years! so many good memories of the GELSON MARKET.'

'Everybody is nice at the Santa Barbara store from the GM all the way down the ladder. My all time favorite is Otto in the deli department. He is always friendly and helpful just a vey nice young man. He is my go to guy for my sandwich (4 x a week)--makes it just the way I like it without any instructions.'

'we only have experience with the Newport shop; we live in Bakersfield, but frequent the Marriott Newport Coast Villas. It is our favorite grocery store; the lobster tank (love it), the carvery (OMG the roast beef sandwich is to die for), the lady handing out samples of cheese!! Can''t wait to return.'

'The entire team in the Irvine store is excellent. They are professional and friendly, we love them! The store is clean and attractive and we feel lucky that Gelson''s is here in Irvine for us and prefer it to all other stores, near and far.'

'My mother is an avid fan of the Newport Beach Gelsons and has been going there for years and years (driving there from Villa Park when she lived there and refusing to go to the local store; she now lives in Irvine). She particularly loves the Gelsons cheese enchiladas and the fresh ground sirloin for her hamburgers. As she is getting older and her health is declining, she really needs to relocate permanently to be with me, her daughter, in Washington state. She''s all for that with one big exception: HOW will she get her enchiladas and ground sirloin from Gelsons? Is there any way that Gelsons could cold-pak and send overnight (we could even provide a FedEx account) these items once in a while? Thank you.'
